I know this is probably a long shot, but I'm trying to identify a
multi-user chat program from the late 1980's. Users usually dialed in
at 300 or 1200 baud, everything was ASCII based, and there was zero
moderation. All commands were preceded by the / character, so it was
easy to trick people into dropping off by having them type "/question"
or "/quack". It was possible to connect other nodes to the the chat,
and one could easily make their own node by creating a simple program
that sent their node them followed by the desired text. Most likely
this was run on a PC using a multiplexing modem. Any help is
appreciated. Thanks.
