was given an old system with a Liteon ldw-411s dvd writer in it.
first time I went to test it I found that it won recognise DVDs, either
blank or written but happily reads and writes CDs'. If I put a dvd in
the drive
the light flashes and I can hear it spinning but nothing more ever
happens.
Is the drive faulty or is there some trick ?
