Fred/Anyone
I wish that I could repair the broken file associations! From another PC
(without any viruses) I have saved the "xp_exe_fix" file (Restore default
association for
EXE files) onto a flash disk. When I put that flash disk into the PC with
the virus on it and try to run the file it says that it can't find it -
can't find *.Ink file etc. I can't seem to get past that point. The PC
with
the virus won't run anything much, because the virus quickly changes any
newly introduced files to .Ink files which won't run or do anything (they
become totally inactive).

Got any ideas? The same thing happens when I try to install (run the exe
files) of any new anti virus programs such as:
http://www.moosoft.com/TheCleaner/Download
http://vil.nai.com/vil/Stinger
They are inactive and won't fire up.

Also I can't run the trendmicro housecall program cos I can't open
Internet
Explorer (which is now a frigging .Ink file), meaning that I can't even
get
on the internet to try and download it. Please help!!!!!
