Clickable Hosts/Nicknames in a Notices window?

by zusel <zusel@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 11, 2008 at 02:30 PM

Hi there,

I need a little help about transforming snotices. As snotices are only
text, the connecting users are not recognized by mIRC as they are when
joining a channel, so one can´t click on the nickname to do a action on
these nicks. Nor is that possible by clicking the complete host.

Now with recent spamming bots, I had the idea to gline connecting
clients directly with a dialog window by clicking their hosts in the
notices-window. Or just kill them by clicking their nicks. Of cource not
instantly by click, but with a opening popup to choose the action or
confirm it.

To make it clear, here´s an example of what I want do do:

When a client connects, I recieve following sNotice:

—irc.blablubbirc.net— *** Notice -- Client connecting on ****t 6667:
scrawl64 (scrawl@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
) [clients]

Then, if it would be a Spambot (they are well recognizable by their
nick/host) I´d like to click the Ident, here scrawl@[EMAIL PROTECTED]

and a popup opens with for example following possibilities:

gline 1d You are not allowed here
gline 1d Spammers are not allowed here
gline - Thanks for never joinig again

by clicking that popup, it should then perform the chosen command, e.g.
/gline +*@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
1d You are not allowed here

Or when I click the nickname, it should open a window wether I´d like to
kill that connection or perform a whois.

Is that somehow possible?

Thanks for help,

zusel
