I have just had a self inflicted problem with my freecom 160GB external
hardrive. The story goes like this -having bought Windows XP the Official
guide containing a free CD on tuning up your PC, I decided to copy the
contents of my internal hard drive using a program called paragon drive
backup 8.5.
My external hard drive had been working well copying across im****tant
files
using syncback, but I decided to have a go and back up the whole drive
with
paragon. back up. There must have been a conflict, since my external hard
drive misbehaved and I could no longer see the drive on any PC.
The external hard drive was returned to CCL, who said it was a case of
reformating the drive, but I would loose my data. CCL carried out this
operation
My question is - how do you reformat if you can't identify the external
hard
drive on any PC.
