My son has a Packard bell desk top computer that had Windows XP home
addition preinstalled on the HD.
A rather persistent virus was causing problems on the machine. the easy
way
out as has been done before was to format the HD and install a clean copy
of
windows.
Formatting no problem, but after altering the BIOS to boot straight to the
CD first After setup comes to the part which checks the configuration of
the
hardware it goes no further.
Please can somebody tell me were I can obtain the start up disc/or discs
to
rectify this problem
