>>>There are many fewer people who do embedded systems work, so it's harder
>>>to find contractors.
I have read above statement in one of the posted articles. And it raised a
couple of questions:
Though I agree with the statement, it seems that to find embedded contract
is also not so easy: most of the projects are handled 'in house '.
While practicing embedded software development for nearly 2 decades, I
have
notice lately the trend that increasing complexity of embedded software
requires certain software development technology, which gained complexity
of its own and became beyond the scope of business of the company who had
requested embedded software at the first place. In other words, the
growing
complexity of software development technologies should push more and more
towards outsourcing of embedded projects. But at the same time, the
companies are still trying to keep them 'in house', compromising quality
of
the software and projects (time schedules, etc...).
Here is my first question: does somebody observe the same/similar trend
(or
is it just my subjective 'feelings'?
My second question is slightly on the other note:
Does somebody has experience with sites like freelancerworks.com, eLance,
guru.com? Can somebody navigates me towards direction where it is possible
to find embedded contracts?
Thank you for your kind attention to this matter.
Regards,
